Autism Assessment
Structured Clinical Autism Evaluation with Advanced Screening Tests
Service Description
A comprehensive clinical evaluation designed to identify Autism Spectrum Condition in adults, including subtle, high-functioning and late-recognised presentations. Your assessment begins with completion of validated screening tools tailored to autism and related neurodevelopmental traits. Results from your inventory analysis are reviewed in advance and used to guide an in-depth 60–90 minute pre-assessment interview with a Clinical Researcher. Findings are then cross-correlated by the clinical team before your formal 60 minute assessment with a Consultant Psychiatrist and a clinical researcher. The service is suitable for: - Individuals exploring possible autism in adulthood - High-functioning adults who may have developed masking or compensatory strategies - Individuals experiencing longstanding social, sensory or communication differences - Those seeking diagnostic clarity within a broader neurodevelopmental context Your assessment includes: - Review and analysis of completed screening questionnaires - In-depth clinical interview exploring developmental history and current functioning - Assessment of social communication, sensory processing and behavioural patterns - Exploration of cognitive style, emotional regulation and lived experience Our approach is designed to identify nuanced and often under-recognised presentations of autism, particularly in adults whose traits may not have been identified earlier in life. Autism frequently co-occurs with ADHD and related neurodevelopmental differences. While overlapping traits are routinely considered, autism assessment requires a distinct and more detailed diagnostic evaluation. Following your autism assessment, you will receive: - A clear diagnostic outcome where appropriate - Clinical explanation and feedback - Recommendations for support, management or next steps - A comprehensive written report within approximately 10 days The autism assessment forms part of Corteqa’s broader research-informed clinical framework, supporting ongoing understanding, engagement and future pathways of care.
