ADHD ASSESSMENT

Many individuals reach adulthood having struggled with attention, organisation, procrastination, overwhelm, impulsivity or burnout throughout their life without knowing why things seem  just that little bit more challenging for them. An ADHD assessment can provide clarity, understanding and evidence-based support for next steps. Corteqa's structured ADHD assessment pathway is designed to identify traditional and subtle presentations of ADHD, including masked and previously overlooked traits.

ADHD can remain unrecognised for many years. Some individuals develop coping strategies that mask underlying difficulties, whilst others struggle with organisation, emotional regulation, relationships, education, work or daily responsibilities. Common presentations include individuals previously diagnosed with anxiety or depression, women with ADHD, and those whose difficulties have been misunderstood or overlooked.

Why ADHD is often missed in adults

Advanced Clinical ADHD Evaluation

- Chronic exhaustion caused by years of compensating for executive function obstacles
- Difficulties starting, organising, prioritising and completing tasks despite intentions

-- Feeling mentally stuck, overwhelmed or unable to begin important tasks

- Difficulty estimating time, meeting deadlines and managing future planning
- Many individuals are diagnosed with anxiety before underlying ADHD  is revealed
- Emotional pain and heightened sensitivity to criticism  associated with ADHD (RSD)

Common symptoms

ADHD is not simply a difficulty concentrating. Current neuroscience identifies differences in executive function networks involved in:

planning, organisation, working memory, emotional regulation, motivation, reward processing, attention control

   ADHD beyond attention

Receiving a diagnosis is often the beginning

rather than the end of understanding.  Many individuals experience:

Relief, validation, greater self-understanding, improved educational / workplace functioning, better relationships, reduced self-criticism
